One of the most intriguing quarterbacks in the 2024 NFL Draft is Tennessee's Joe Milton III, a raw prospect with tantalizing upside.
Milton, 24, has prototypical size for a quarterback at 6-foot-5 and 235 pounds, plus a rocket arm. Per ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, he launched multiple 70-yard-plus deep shots at his pro day.
While some scouts like his upside, they still think he's a work in progress.

"He's got shades of [former NFL MVP] Cam Newton based on his ability — but his football acumen and his accuracy are issues," an AFC scout told Fowler. "Just doesn't have the feel for the game or the position that you'd like to see."
In six seasons at Michigan and Tennessee, Milton completed 61.5 percent of his passes for 37 touchdowns, 11 interceptions and a 146.1 passer rating.
NFL.com draft expert Lance Zierlein projects Milton as a fifth-rounder. Since he's a low-risk prospect, a team may be willing to take a chance on him as a project QB.
"He's a developmental player that someone will take a chance on and hope they can mold him into an NFL quarterback," an NFL personnel evaluator told Fowler. "He'll be exciting to work with because of the immense talent and he hasn't played a lot of football, so he's a bit of a blank canvas. And he has rushing ability to go with the arm strength."
Per Bleacher Report's Jordan Schultz, Milton had a visit scheduled with the Cleveland Browns on Tuesday, and he also previously met with the Las Vegas Raiders and New England Patriots.
Cleveland would probably be the best destination for Milton. Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski is a savvy offensive mind. They also have quarterbacks Deshaun Watson and Jameis Winston, meaning he wouldn't have to play immediately.
Milton needs time, but if he lands in the right situation, he could fulfill his potential and become a massive steal.
